Extra cash for medical students

Extra cash for medical studentsDidn't get as much as you were expecting for your NHS bursary? Don't fret. Thanks to a new bursary scheme open to all medical students, you shouldn't have to live off Pot Noodles for the rest of the year.

No one ever said studying would be easy but with rising living costs and lack of time for paid work, finding enough money to live on has never been tougher.
A bursary and grant scheme from The Victoria Foundation could take off some of the strain.

Who is it for?

The scheme is aimed at young people who may not otherwise be able to study in the field of medicine.
It is offered to students with proven academic ability and the drive and ambition to succeed in medicine.

What’s available?

  • Any student studying medicine may apply for the foundation’s bursary schemes, offering up to £1,000.
  • Toolkit grants of up to £250 are also available to pay for books, equipment and other medical tools necessary for training.

How do I apply?

Visit the Victoria Foundation website for further details and an application form.
